2018 Fee Structure for National Schools in Kenya

Previosusly we shared an article on all the 2018 fees structure for secondary schools. Today we will narrow down to the 2018 fee structure for the National schools in Kenya. The Ministry of Education headed by Matiang’i released a comprehensive fee structure for national schools in 2018. Following the break down, the free secondary education will place their fee structure minus Kes. 22,244. The 22k is the government subsidy following the free secondary education pledge by Jubilee Government.
National schools had their previous fee structures capped at Kes. 75,798 per year. This is inclusive of the boarding, electricity, watrer, local transport and much more.
The government is paying completely the following vote-heads and the total fees cleared by the government as per the break down.

• Teaching learning materials and exmas (Kshs. 4,792)
• Medical and Insurance amounting to Kshs. 1,999
• The government reduced repairs and maintenace fee by 1,886
• Local transport reduced by 1,833.
• Personal Emoluments (PE) amounting to 5,755 settled by the government.
