How to transfer files using Xender Web
By default smartphones come with Bluetooth as possibly the only form of file transfer inbuilt. But how hectic is Bluetooth when it comes to file transfer? I think you know that experience when sending a 20MB file via Bluetooth. But there came many file sharing apps using Wi-Fi as the mode of transfer. The two phones connect via Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi hotspot. These apps include Flashare, Xender (previously Flashshare), Shareit, and many more. But can you transfer files via your phone to your computer using any of these apps? Well, yes you can do that. But how can you transfer files using Xender Web? We have the fool procedure on how to do that. However the same technology uses Wi-Fi and Hotspot.
Just how does Xender Web Work
So how do you transfer files using Xender Web? Xender Web works just like what we would say WhatsApp web, even of the image is in your phone downloaded, you will need to re-download it. So for Xender for PC you will need to download the files to your computer after successful connection. The good thing the download does not use your data. So be sure not to turn on your device data when using Xender Web.Things you need
- Laptop or Computer with Wi-Fi capability
- A smartphone with which you want to transfer data from.
- Xender App
Procedure Explained
To use Xender Web, you will need a computer (preferably a laptop with capability to join some Wi-Fi)Download Xender app from Google Play Store or have someone send it to you.
Do the normal app setup of the app and follow the prompts until you finish.
On the top left corner of the Xender app, you will notice a user icon or maybe a picture if you set one. Tap on the icon to reveal the hidden menu that shows more options.
Tap on more to show other menu items that are not seen from the Xender app to show the Xender Web.
Proceed to tap on connect to PC
as shown below.
You will need to visit web.xender.com using your laptop that should be connected to Wi-Fi hotspot set up on your phone.
Tap scan QR code and head over to scan the QR code on the web page listed on the Xender Web portal.
On successful authetication, you will be able to access you files in your phone directly on your PC. That’s how Xender web works and you should try it out one of these fine days.
