Tecno keeps making new phones almost everyday which shows how far the company has gone. For those in search of a phone below N20,000 ($50) the tecno s1 could be the perfect phone of choice because it houses most of the latest features on android phone at a very cheap price although as expected it is limited in some areas.
Strength
- Low price
Weakness
- Low ram storage
- Poor camera with no front camera
- Small screen size
- Small battery capacity
DESIGN
The tecno s1 is made up mainly of plastic and comes with a 4 inches screen with a resolution of 800 to 400 pixels which gives for decent display and is ideal for phones with 4 inches screen so users won’t have to strain their eyes when viewing the screen which is to be expected due to its low price.
HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE
The Tecno s1 runs on android 6.0 marshmallow OS powered by a mediatek chipset with quad core processors which gives the device also below average performance coupled with the outdated 512mb ram that comes with the device this makes the it not a desirable phone for gaming, heavy applications or multi tasking with tendency of the phone to freeze. It also comes with an internal memory of 8GB and SD card slot which can be expandable to 32GB.
CAMERA AND CONNECTIVITY
Tecno S1 comes with a back camera of 2mp which is a disappointment in this generation of phones even though it is a low budget phone while surprisingly it has no front camera so for selfie lovers it is not the ideal phone.
The phone comes with the standard connectivity tools such as wifi, Bluetooth, hotspot and comes with just 2g and 3g networks with no 4G LTE access, which is limiting for high speed broadband users also surprising it comes with just a single sim option which is not the regular standard of tecno phones.
BATTERY
Tecno s1 comes with a 1500mah removable lithium ion battery which is OK and will last sufficiently since the device is not meant for performance

I would strongly suggest that hat the phone is good for those just getting their first Android phone or for persons who only do simple functions on their phones.
