Dell XPS 13 2017 has been one of the best laptop for the past 3 years during to its long battery life, beautiful design, light weight and amazing infinity edge screen. This year’s version continues this trend with Dell upgrading it’s flagship laptop with the latest intel 8^th Generation core i7 quad core processor. Though there seems to be not much difference with last year’s edition this year’s edition offers better battery life and faster performance.

DESIGN
Dell XPS 13 design has not changed from previous editions with the the lip and bottom surface make from machined aluminium that is either rose gold or silver depending on your the choice you buy.
The keyboard and touch pad is as excellent as it been for the past few years with enough space between keys and punchy feedback. The keyboard still remains one of the best available on a laptop. The touch pad coated with glass tracks gestures excellently and protects against accidental press by your wrists during typing.
The screen uses the popular Dell infinity Edge display which is almost bezel-less at all sides with the web camera below the screen at the left side. The hinges are premium and tight which gives the laptop a premium look
The Dell XPS 13 weighs the same 1.29kg for the glossy QHD touchscreen model abducted 1.2kg for the FHD screened model with both models at 0.6inches thick.
DISPLAY
Dell XPS 13 uses a based level 1080p screen which offers crisp well detailed images and characters while giving excellent wide viewing angles. The panel does not reflect lots of light and gives a bright screen which gives for unique viewing. The near absence of bezels at the top and side of tge laptop also adds to its unique viewing experience.
AUDIO
The audio output of XPS 13 is quite good with musical instruments from songs accurate and layered without much distortions. The two speakers are located on each side of the laptop above the joint of the aluminium base and keyboard deck, limiting the amount of sound that can be heard. There is a Head phone jock which you can connect a head phone to enjoy music
PERFORMANCE
This is an integral aspect in which the Dell XPS 13 performs excellently  as it is one of the first laptops to run Intel Core i7 8^th generation core processor. This upgrade by Intel doubles the number of processor cores from two to four while increasing turbo speed and making the device more power efficient.
Dell XPS core i7-8550U CPU is faster than its predecessor running on core i7-7500U while also increasing battery life by over 2hours. Dell also has its Dynamic power mode feature that balances system temperature while optimizing clock speed leading to boost in system performance.
Dell XPS 13 allows for multiple tasking as even opening of 13 browser tabs and different applications does not slow down the laptop.
Dell XPS 13 took just 12 seconds to copy 4.5GB of files at a rate of 504MBps this is made possible due to its powerful processors combined, with a blazing PCle solid state drive which makes the laptop run faster.
GRAPHICS
Dell XPS 13 uses integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 GPU which won’t play many high end games but will play most medium  games and run videos excellently. It can also be running the latest editing Apps and graphic designer programs.
BATTERY
Dell XPS 13 has excellent battery life with battery life lasting up to 9 hours when watching movies which is keeping in tradition with previous editions.
